The hill station offers a breathtaking view of the eight Himalayan ranges such as the Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range including Mt.Everest. Among them, Nagarkot eco trail (nature walk)along with trails the most popular ones. One can also have a splendid view of the Kathmandu Valley and the Shivapuri National Park. You will find good hotels facilities for accommodations and you can choose as per your budget plan.
Nagarkot is one of the famous and mostly visited by the Kathmandu people, But Nagarkot is not only about the view from the Nagarkot tower and the Picnic spot. Muhan Pokhari, Telkot
On the way to Nagarkot, we can explore Muhan Pokhari at Telkot. This is a small stream with the man made dam which is used for irrigation for local people. People love to visit this place as you can see a relaxing flow of the stream in the middle of the forest.
Up above this man made dam, there lies another beautiful natural waterfall for which we need to hike uphill 15min. The best time to go in this waterfall is after the rainfall because after the rain there might not be enough water.
How to go Muhan Pokhari:
Take a ride from the Kamalpokhari Bhaktapur to the way of the Nagarkot until you reach Telkot, there on the right hand side you will see small off-road which takes you to the Muhan Pokhari, Enjoy.
Buddha Park
After you visit Muhan Pokhari, on the way to Nagarkot after 30-45 mins drive you will reach to Buddha Peace Park and you will definitely love to stop by. You will find a large statue of Buddha in the middle of the park at top of the greenery hill. You can stop for the tea or coffee around the small cottage or local tea shop. Then you can continue towards Nagarkot view point.
Nagarkot Tower
Nagarkot Tower is one of the most common place of the Nagarkot, so this might not be difficult for you to find the way. Nagarkot tower is at the top of the hill above the Army Barack. From the tower we can witness breathtaking view of the eight Himalayan ranges such as the Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range including Mt.Everest.
Kalmasi Dam
After the Nagarkot tower you can come down from the new road of the Nagarkot hill which leads you to the Kalmasi Dam or Bojinee dam next to the Bojinee Resort. If you feel difficult finding Kalmasi Dam, keep following the Bojinee resort trail mark. You will find Kalmasi dam next to this resort.
